Indoor/Outdoor Fish Pond

I am putting a pond on my “covered deck” for my goldfish that have outgrown their tank. Naturally, I want to put floating plants in the pond. As the deck has no direct (only indirect) sunlight, I assume I need to put a light over the pond to grow the aquatic plants. Any suggestions on what type of lighting I need over the pond?

Although the light is indirect it can still be quite intense. As for plants most water hyacinth, water lettuce and wisteria are good floaters for goldfish. My banana plants also send up floating leaves outside. The only problem I have with my outside goldfish is eating the plants or the roots off my floaters so I throw some duckweed in once in awhile for it to eat and seems to solve the problem.
When you get your pond done post some pics for us please
