Indian almond leaves as leaf litter for Green Tree Frogs?

Hi! I know this is mainly a fish forum, but I wondered if anyone has had experience with green tree frogs. I’m going to be getting a couple tomorrow, and I was wondering if I could use Indian almond leaves as a leaf litter on top of the substrate, as I have a ton of leaves for my fish tanks. Thanks!

They would work great. I don’t have experience with green tree frogs, but I do with gray tree frogs and dart frogs. I mostly use oak, maple, magnolia, and birch, but I use extra Indian almond leaves when I have them.

Oh, I’m sorry I actually have one more question.
How often should I replace the leaves?

You leave them on land, yes? Not in the water?
In water I would just let them rot, on land, it depends. There also a layer of rotten leaves would be beneficial for the small ecosystem.
But let's say one of the leaves is where the frogs defecate the most, just to prevent a possible parasite brooding place. In that case remove regularly.

With my frogs, I add more on top when they start to break down. I leave the rotting leaves underneath, but cover them up with new ones.
