Incandescent bulbs and bubbles

My hood came with incandescent bulbs. I've ordered some CFL's to upgrade. I just added a bubble stone to the tank and after remembered there was a note in the hood manual that the bulbs aren't recommended for use with bubblers.
I'm assuming because of the effervescence on the surface hitting the bulbs. What will happen? Will they just die sooner or will they shatter?
I should have the CFLs in a few days.
    Thanks!

Not sure but maybe you can get a piece of glass to put over the tank and set the bulb on top ... thats how my tank is set up. The glass is always wet from the filter and bubbler splashing up.

I was wondering if there's something more temporary since I'll be getting the CFLs in a few days.
Or should I have those fully covered too?
The hood has a partial splash guard over the bulbs but the ends extend beyond.

Not sure. I'd be hesitant to get any bulbs or fixtures wet that didn't expressly say it was waterproof. That sounds like an accident waiting to happen.
