In A Power Outage, How Long Does Bb Last?

Just wondering as my apartment building regularly loses power, whether by accident or from the yearly or sometimes even bi-yearly maintenance. I do my best to turn the water over with a cup to maintain gas exchange but I'm worried without flow to the filter, the BB dies.

A properly stocked tank will go 12 hours easily with nothing done to it. Your bb even after 24 hours will not be harmed. I believe its something like 48 hours and it starts to go dormant. It takes then a week to actually die off. Now if it dries up the time will be shorter.

your fish will suffer more than the BB in that time with out a filter to move the water.

We went 6.5 days once without power. I poured water through the filter whenever I passed by the tank, and the tank never even had a mini-cycle after.
