Ok, I am not familiar with posting on forums but I've done a fair share of reading on fishylore and I am desperate for help! I do not know how to post pictures but if this can be done I am familiar with formatting and can figure it out with little instruction.
Ok so I have a 46 gallon tank, with 9 platys which started out as 2 but then my female had fry and I sold 10 fry to the LFS. I also have a silver dollar fish named dart who I have had since I was a child making him 16 years old and I am really regretting having any other fish since he never gets sick but now this platy is freaking me out! I do also have a silver dollar I got a few years back since my first dollar was given to me with a gold fish and I was a child- I didn't know he needed to school but I did get 1 more and didn't want to over crowd my tank and since he had been alone so long- I just didn't want to add any stress as he's pretty old.
Dollars are both healthy my oldest dollar has never been sick, and youngest dollar had fin rot once when j added the new platys and he was stressed, which I treated successfully but I HAVE NO experience in treating diseases as that is all I've ever treated. now this platy..... & I'm Sorry for all the randomness- but ok, all the fish have seemed fine other than now after reading for hours I'm beginning to wonder if maybe the platys or majority of them may all have something weird going on but I won't jump to conclusions since its one fish Inparticular that has ALARMING mass protruding from its anus area?! This mass is as big if not bigger- then the tip part of my pinky (for reference and I am a petite person but...its BIG!) it looks white mainly in color and looks as if the fish was eaten on, but then somewhat like if it tried to poop out cottage cheese. If anyone can please help me figure out what to do I can purchase any meds and have it within 2 days time maximum & I can post any pics if someone will fill me in on how to do this.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!!!!!!!!

I suggest that you just quarantine the platy for now. Without pictures, we can't pin the disease down.

Sorry I uploaded the same pic so many times!!!

Ok, I understand! I uploaded a photo and it ended up uploading 3 times some how but I am on my phone so navigating seems difficult. The fish is still alive but is having a bit of trouble swimming. Just seems weaker than before. This is fairly new since I inspect my fish every night before bed. Almost all of the platys have a small smidget of something but it looks as if it's just poop edging out? I'm at such a lost

I'm gonna have to read on the FAQs and learn how to navigate my way around here better. I'm at a fall festival today and when I get home I will be sure to check and see if I have any replies I'm just so anxiety ridden about this fish and it's making me sick that I can't figure out what to do, I would like to add that I have no quarantine tank since my child had been weight lifting and smashed the entire side out of my smaller tank with the bar to the weights (it was empty) BUT I AM gonna get a tub, since I have 2 filters running in my tank at all times so good bacteria stays reDily available for things like this so I'll put this platy in some sort of container, would a size of 5 gallons be sufficient? I'm so sad ;( I hope this is the collumanus (wrong spelling?)

Yes a tub perfect for quarantine. I don't know anything about platys, and it doesn't seem to have any common disease, so hopefully somebody else with experience with platys will help.

It is just prolaypse. I have no idea but sometimes this happens. Did you try to deworm it recently?
No cause for alarm, unless your platy is a prized breeder I would simply humanely euthanize it.

Thank you very much for the replies!!
I have observed my fish now for an extended amount of time, I do watch them 2-3x a day and had noticed this briefly a couple weeks ago as well but I assumed maybe it was just weird behavior/ fish being nippy.. But now after watching and seeing that it is happening often, I wanted to ask those familiar with platys just to be sure as the platys are nipping & trying to eat little bits coming out of my other platys anus' (not the sick platy I originally posted about which I have removed from the tank now) but it's as if almost all the platys have this bit of poop just barely poking out. It's a whitish color, and this is what the other platys nip at or try to eat? I do feed my fish 2-3x daily small amounts so I doubt they are hungry- but they would eat all day long if I let them so I'm not sure since I've only had them a short while if this is normal behavior for platys. My dollars would never do such a thing but- just as we have diff behaviors so do fish but I just wanted to check and be sure I'm not being to dismissal. Thank you again though, I've been worried sick about this and not because of the fish Inparticular but just because I'm just so crazy about & love all things living; to an almost unhealthy degree... In terms of my own stress that is.
Thanks and I'm gonna try to get a pic of my platy who has the most noticeable bit of poop like stuff which others try nipping but she's also very likely pregnant, although that's most likely irrelevant since many of my platys have this and I'm not good at telling make from female but maybe I have many pregnant ones and this is normal idk sorry for long post once again!!

Try reducing your feeding to once a day for a week. See if it will go back in I agree it's a prolapse.

Also try feeding veggies no protein and see if it will go back in. Unfortunately if her anal prolapse doesn't she'll become septic and die.
