Should be illegal IMOAnyone who puts milk before cereal must be an alien or something cause that's just not natural
Um WHAT?!Should be illegal, but...
I brought up this topic at work with three of my coworkers, one of them (and me) is sane and puts cereal first. One puts milk first, which is gross, but apparently there is a worse option...
The other coworker puts milk first, then cereal, then heats it up in the microwaveead:
Yes. But you get a passummm am I weird for putting milk first and then cereal? lol
Yes!ummm am I weird for putting milk first and then cereal? lol
Ummmmmm what?I have an ex who is lactose intolerant. He puts pepsI in his frosted flakes. After seeing that, I don't care if milk or cereal comes first, just use milk!
Eh but really your cereal gets in the milk and stays there the same amount of time that it would if you poured milk over it. Unless you're dipping each bite of cereal into the milk or pouring small amounts into the milk repeatedly lol.I do cereal before milk but I can see the other side of it...if you want the cereal to be crunchy and not soggy you pour milk and than cereal. That's how a real Iron Chef would do it.
Okay but what kind of cereal would taste good with orange juice? Ewwait wait Pepsi???? lol my father in law puts orange juice in his careal lol
The top stays crunchy...Eh but really your cereal gets in the milk and stays there the same amount of time that it would if you poured milk over it. Unless you're dipping each bite of cereal into the milk or pouring small amounts into the milk repeatedly lol.
But the top stays crunchy if you pour the milk over it too. Just the one spot may get a little soggy. Bottom line - no excuse for milk first peopleThe top stays crunchy...
Understandable but lets say that you were having your Fruit Loops and you pour it the normal way. Suddenly an unexpected guest comes along, like those regligous people that knock on the door and talks about religion. You go back five mins later, your Fruit Loops are soggy...But the top stays crunchy if you pour the milk over it too. Just the one spot may get a little soggy. Agree to disagreeUnderstandable but lets say that you were having your Fruit Loops and you pour it the normal way. Suddenly an unexpected guest comes along, like those regligous people that knock on the door and talks about religion. You go back five mins later, your Fruit Loops are soggy...
Do it the other way...yeah the bottom will be soggy but the crunchiness of the top will offset that.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> hit agree
Yeah, it means you don’t follow the Law of Common Sense (totally made that up). So what else do do, huh?ummm am I weird for putting milk first and then cereal? lol
I vote yes! Will all MFTC's (milk first then cereal) be banned ??? hahahaha
Or the type of people that would add fish and then the water? Same concept, we can't trust themOf course. Those are the same people who’d put a piranha in the same tank as a goldfish, and think they’ll be friends. We only need no-nonsense members only. I vote yes, too.
Feeling highly judegemental right now.
Lol I don't know what they would've thought based on our Big Foot debate last week. (It was the top thread I believe)If someone just saw this thread they might think this some breakfast debating forum or something
Good point. The only way it's acceptableI only add cereal second if I have some milk left over
Can't really answer because I have always hated cold cereals. I will only eat a couple of kinds but only dry out of the box. The only cereals I eat are hot ones like oatmeal or farina (Cream of Wheat), It's been that way since I was a kid.
Well, since I make the quick kind of oatmeal, it get's nuked with the milk already in. If I want to add any milk or half and half, it goes in later. So, what goes in the bowl first before it gets nuked? The oats first then the liquid and then a small piece of butter and maybe some cinnamon.So.... do you put your oatmeal in first and then add milk? Or milk first then oatmeal? There is no escaping this important question...
First scientific approach !!!!I'm not doing it just "Because"; I do it because I want to save the milk; It makes mathematical sense, because, in most cases there is less milk then there is cereal, and if you want to save one of them, you would want to save the one you have less of. You save the milk by adding it last, according to the amount of cereal; It is also a lot easier to add milk according to the cereal, than to add cereal according to milk.
The real question is what would Bigfoot do?Where are the mods when you really need them?
OMG, My son, the pickiest eater on earth and ate only, not joking here, peanut butter on bread, which he used to dunk in ketchup, for 3 years, with occasional pringles chips, and some other treats like cookies and ice cream, would eat cereal without milk. Weirdest kid ever. He is 18 now, eats a bit more stuff, but is still very picky. My son puts in cereal, then skips the milk.
...
Still trying to figure out where we went wrong...
Peanut butter, ketchup and bread? I gotta go puke nowOMG, My son, the pickiest eater on earth and ate only, not joking here, peanut butter on bread, which he used to dunk in ketchup, for 3 years, with occasional pringles chips, and some other treats like cookies and ice cream, would eat cereal without milk. Weirdest kid ever. He is 18 now, eats a bit more stuff, but is still very picky.
Yes and sometimes, he would dunk the peanut butter on bread (cannot have ends either), in spaghettI sauce and Parmesan cheese. I think I dropped him when he was a baby.Peanut butter, ketchup and bread? I gotta go puke now
