Im starting another tank!!!!!!

I have a cycled 20 gallon tank and I want to make it into a Cichlid tank... ik that they grow big, can any1 recommend me a cichlid for a 20 gallon (if possible even just 2 kinds of different cichlid... any kind of list)? and also if I can put corys in it for clean up...

there is not much you can put in a 20 gallon as far as bigger cichlids go. have you looked at the shell dweller cichlids? there pretty cool. kribs, rams would work but you couldnt have many.

I'm not up for the Quantity for the Cichlids. I just want to know how many I can put in a 20 gallon tank without having tons of probs.... I heard that it will be nice if I can only do One Species Cichlid tank for a small tank to have less conflict is that right??? and yah my allowance won't reach the price of rams and kribs lol -_- sigh I'm so broke

I'm thinking 2 Cichlids??? I need to learn how to work with them and transfer them to my 29 gallon tank! well idk if they work with Tiger Barbs.

 

I'm not sure but maybe two firemouths could live in a 29 gallon. but that might be a lil small, hopefully someone else will chime in.

 

Firemouth Cichlids need a minimum of 40 gallons. You could do a pair of rams, look for dwarf Cichlids. Apistograma would also work.

whats cheaper??? Rams or Apistograma???? and yah I'm actually looking for Dawrf Cichlids

Last month I bought 6 Blue Rams for $15 each. from LFS. Larger chain have them occasionally and for less but the ones I found at PS did not look nearly as good as the ones I bought. One of them did not make it after a few weeks. IF you want cheap fish cichlids may not be the way. Overall I am very happy with thr Rams.

maybe it was 5 it was awhile ago.
