i'm so bad..

I went into Pet Smart to buy pellet food and water conditioner. I come out with two male bettas.. Oops..lol
But in my defense I couldn't help it. I was looking at the bettas ( which I knew is shouldn't, but I cannot help myself) and I found a dragon scale, butterfly half-moon boy. ( black body with red fins the black tips)so I nabbed him and I grabbed a tank and I walk over to the other live fish and I notice more bettas! so I go and look ( bad, bad me) and I found a double tail plakat with a white face. I drooled, so I sighed and walked back over grabbed another tank and walked myself to the cash register before I find another male that I have to have! lol

Now I have a double tail plakat, a half-moon, butterfly plakat, and a butterfly half-moon, dragon scale.

And I also found out that Nevada's pet stores have much more prettier bettas than Michigan does. Lol

Dude, which Pet Smart did you go to? The one that I have gone to before Petco had very few bettas.

 

Hahaha I'm trying to get pictures but the little buggers keep moving but I got some good pictures. And I live on the south side of Reno. The PetCo in which I got my white faced and half-moon dragon scale I got on S Virginia Street. And where I got my butterfly, half-moon plakat was I got on the North side of Reno next to Ross.

Just so you're aware, Jesse is not likely a dragonscale (it's hard to tell for sure in these pictures). Most of the "dragonscale" bettas sold at petstores are just shiny, not with the thickened scaling and undercolor that makes a true dragon

They are both lovely boys.

 

Jesse is most likely a black copper. I had one that looked exactly like him

 

^ Very probably. That's what most of the "dragonscales" are at petstores. Color x with copper or irid. I find copper more common with the blacks

 

Okay thank you. Yeah I do have a dragon scale back in Michigan ( his white scales are much more bigger and overlap)

But I will try and get another picture of Jesse. He does not pose like Mookie does.lol But I'll put him next to a mirror and see if I can get a good picture.

And oh I know! Mookies face is soo adorable I just had to get him also.

Now I can go back and get a mislabeled betta.lol He is labeled as a veil but he looks more like a delta. So hey a 4 dollar fish that is originally 13 dollar fish. Ill take it! lol

Okay does this picture help with showing his scales? The little turd refused to stop moving and my phone has a hard time focusing on him, but I got a decent looking picture. Now that I am thinking about it I do not think that he is a dragon scale, but he was pretty stunning so I'm not all that sad about it.lol

 

I would definitely say he isn't a dragonscale and say he is copper. This is Sebastian and he was a copper betta even if he doesn't look it

 

Oh wow. No wonder you couldn't resist them, those boys are absolutely gorgeous!. I particularly love Mookie! What a cutie ^.^

Dang, BettaLovez...I unfortunately live in the Henderson area. Pet Smart and Petco are close to me, by about 15 minutes from eachother...The Petco that I got Michonne from is on Windmill, the Pet Smart that I got my new betta, Cyclops from is on Silverado Ranch.

 

That does suck. I have noticed select PetCos and Pet Smarts have good bettas. Like I adopted another male betta today in Carson City. Blue body and red fins with a black out lining, he is a half-moon. They are also having a sale on the bettas there if you ever head that way soon!
