Anyone wanna talk about how weird snails are? They're so gross I hate them and love them at the same time. I mention this because a fish died in my tank and one of my mystery snails decided it was breakfast. It was horrible... But I couldn't stop watching.

1. No

2. No

3. Feel sadness

18. Haha yes I am bored lol
1.ABSOLUTELY YES, though I try my best to keep them alive.
2.Not really anymore because I'm used to it, especially after seeing so many dead fancy guppies in my first month of fishkeeping. I've learned to accept the fact that fish will die and that this is part of the fishkeeping experience. I've spent my money, time, and energy on fishkeeping so that it can make me happier instead of the other way around. Mourning death means the hobby is not worth it. I do feel unhappy though when a fish that I like dies and sometimes mad for either self blame or something else. Seeing early deaths encourage me to keep improving.
3.I am no longer attached to any fish because I'm prepared to lose them someday. I do, however, have sympathy for them and I try my best to give the most pleasant life for them. Seeing happy fish makes me happy as well. I could've placed a female betta fish in a community tank if I wanted to, but I didn't because I don't want to make a fish' life miserable. Just because they're cheap (In my place that is.), doesn't mean their lives don't matter.
4.My only experience with reptiles is with red ear slider turtles and it is heartbreaking to see them go.
5.No. To me, dead fish are like trashes so I put them in where they belong. As mentioned earlier, I don't have any emotional attachment to any fish though I have sympathy for them.
6. Absolutely. The internet and this forum have been very helpful in making my decisions. It is thanks to this forum that I'm thinking twice about putting a sailfin molly into a 10 gallon tank.
7.There is only one condition where I kill fish and that is when they carry very deadly disease such as columnaris disease. There is actually a debate whether columnaris bacteria exist in most tanks or not, but after doing extensive research, followed by my personal experience, I strongly believe that the best solution to get rid of the infection is to remove the fish from the tank and kill them because there is no hope for them to recover from this deadly disease. Usually, if I have to get rid of a fish other than disease reason, I would usually give them to pet stores which I did with my danio zebras (Love the fish but I can't help seeing them biting other fish.).
8.No.
9.Yes, the ultimate goal is to have fun. It's a hobby.
10. I used to, but after having too many fish, I've stopped doing that especially because I have stopped having emotional bonds with my fish.
11.Yes, I try my best to cure ich and other kinds of diseases that are possible to cure, unlike the columnaris disease. Losing fish means I have to buy them again which means more money spent and more energy spent on doing quarantee.
12.Give them fish ich medicine in a separate tank so that the beneficial bacteria in the main tank won't be killed.
13.No. It's against my personality.
14.Slightly brackish just so that it can kill of some possible deadly viruses/bacteria.
15.Function comes first in my tank. I put plants so that the nitrate can be absorbed. All the decorations are made for the convenience and survival rate of my fish.
16.I do community tanks so the selection of plants is not specific for a particular type of fish.
17.Real. I avoid plastic plants because they can hurt the fish and in worst scenario and make them stuck.
18.Yes it seems.
