I'm a nurse for the next four weeks!

My wife just had bilateral foot surgery today (it was really neat; they had to cut through the fifth metatarsal on each foot and then pin it to the fourth. They did this in a total of half an hour), and won't be able to walk for the next seven days, and is on bedrest for four weeks, which means that I'm now the nurse in the family. ;)
Also, nurses make the worst patients. She stopped breathing in the operating room (they fixed that one quickly). And now, we've been home for two and a half hours and she's already demanded water, soup, toast, pizza, cake, and ice cream. ;D

Sounds like a full service joint you've got going! I know where I'd want to recuperate if I got sick. :p

Oh gosh! I know you'll take good care of her.
It's amazing the amount of things you want when someone else has to get it for you!

I hope she feels better soon. :)

SDS-Only you would say foot surgery was neat! That's just priceless!

I'm so glad she's okay and I'm hoping she's not expecting you to play nurse in costume:) If she does, don't post it on Youtube:;bmu

Not true. She did, as well. ;)

That's another thing she demanded. I can't say "no" to an invalid. ;)

Shoot! Don't post it on Youtube. I got that wrong. Big difference those four letters make, huh?

Listens for the clacking of keys of people trying to find Sirdarksol in a nurse's outfit on Youtube

Today she had a salad topped with broiled tuna steak and baguette slices with roasted garlic butter on them, and I'm in the process of making cream puffs.

You're making creampuffs? Not just thawing the ones from Costco? SDS, how come you didn't come nurse me when I was on bedrest?

Wow. Your wife's got the equivalent of the garlic juice and Vita Chem treatment. I'd get better right away. ;D
