If They All Die, Should We Get A Different High Temp Nano Species? Question

    Hi team

I'm feeling discouraged with unexplained cardinal tetra deaths in QT.

link here: Help - 4 Dead Cardinals In Qt - Why?!?!?

If the remaining 3 (or 4 but I'm not optimistic it's alive) die, then here are our options:

wait about 3 wks & try again with a big school of cardinals in the 65L QT once we add the current cichlid occupants to their DT.

    or

opt for a different 25-26.5ºC tolerant nano species.

Here's what's NOT available in NZ:

    chili Rasbora
    CPDs
    neon Rasbora
most killifish besides gold panchex or sometimes chocolate killi

most other nano species like lower temps.

Any ideas or comments from you lovely people?

I don't know what is happening to your cardinals but you should get harlequin rasboras they are pretty hardy.

good suggestion! I see they're ok up to 27-28ºc so our tank will be ok for them.

We still would love to have the cardinals work out :(

Look into harlequin rasboras, I second that. My school of them is beautiful and very active!
