If there isn't enough oxygen in my tank for a clown loach, would it become full grown?

If there isn't enough oxygen in my tank for a clown loach, would it become full grown. I know it is that way for insects and other fish.

If there isn't enough oxygen it would affect all your fish except for labrynth fish since they take it from the atmosphere. I don't think it would affect the growth of it rather kill them before anything else would happen. If your afraid of oxygen level then you can always add an airstone.

I have an aerator going 24/7 to also help the movement of water. The reason I'm asking is because my loach in my 28 gal has actually shrunk in length since I put it in there.

Yes, I measured it when I transfered it and I measured it a bout a week ago.

Yes depleted oxygen levels would definitely result fish death. Sounds like your clown has contracted skinny disease.

Should I transfer it to my other tank? My 28 doesn't have a snail prolem and if it does my angel will take of them.

Heres a thread and some pictures about skinny disease. check them out and see if this is what your clown Loach has. I've never heard of clown shrinking unless it was sick.

That's not at all what it has. It only shrunk by about 0.125".
