Identification of Shrimp needed please

BunchRSA

Hey all, I’m new here and I have a need for identifying of shrimp.
I’m from South Africa and I bought these two at a local fish shop about 2 months ago, they have grown rather large and live peacefully with my blue dream shrimp and one seems to have eggs.
I have no clue on what they are and how to look after the babies that hatch from the eggs, also some of my blue dream shrimp also have eggs and I’m wondering wether they will eat the baby shrimp?
Any suggestions will help
Thank you

It looks like a ghost shrimp to me. They do tend to be peaceful but I have never kept them together with other shrimp, I have seen it done. Sometimes whisker shrimp are mistaken for ghost shrimp and whisker shrimp would probably be eating your adult blues. I don’t see the long forelegs in any of those pictures so I think you’re safe there.

Okay, thank you, do you know the exact species of ghost shrimp?
Do they need any special breeding?

Unfortunately I do not. I dabble in shrimp at best, but I know there are some extremely knowledgeable shrimp guys/gals here that can probably steer you in the right direction.
