Ideas For A 5 Gal Setup For A Single Betta

We're going to be setting up a 5 gal tank for a betta and was interested in some ideas for it?
I know I want live plants: saw these ones suggested as good plants for a 5gal betta tank
But if anyone has pictures of 5gal set ups, that'd be great! I want something simple but beautiful. Like maybe one tall plant with big leaves, maybe a carpeting plant, and then someplace for it to hide?
As for the tank its a Aqueon 5gal Minibow:

I'l be using a layer of CaribSea Eco-Complete Planted Aquarium substrate (Black) with a layer of CaribSea Super Natural Moonlight Sand (white) on top of it. He'll be the only fish in the tank.

Also I'm concerned about the flow of the filter as the flow of it's pretty strong. Anyway I can slow it down a bit to make a more peaceful environment for the Betta? It's not adjustable.

Also should I have an air pump/bubble stream in the 5gal with the betta?

Hi!! I think you are the same guy I talked to about the live plants and the sand!! You do not need an air pump for a betta fish, because the are labrynthe fish, with means they take oxegion directly form the surface of the water. The plants I would recommend are: Dwarf Hair grass(which is more of a short, frontal grass) Narrow leaf anachris, Common Water Nymph and maybe some java fern. As fair as the seeming the stream of the water, you could put a tall cave tor tall fake plant to act as a buffer, or you could get a sponge from like an HobbyLobby and tie or glue it to the filter with super glue or fishing line. I hope this was helpful and enjoy your betta!!

Here's my 5 gallon with 2 guppies and a handful of shrimp. I'm working on dealing with the algae..

It's more practical than aesthetic, as I needed space the the guppies and shelter for the shrimp, and a lot of filtration, but you get the idea!

I am yes! I'm clueless and need a lot of help so I post entirely too much xd I just want my fish happy hahaha
I bought some ... the label says Dwarf Baby Tears that's supposed to be a good carpeting plant, would that work too?ill add the anachris and water nymph to my list to see if my lps has them

Any specific sort of sponge or will just any do? (like kitchen sponge, etc??). It know it'll be too strong for the betta bc I see it blowing stuff around the tank now xD

it looks really nice! I think mines now wide enough for something like that but I love how green everything is. I plan on doing something similar like this in my 20 gallon where ill have neon tetras, guppies, and cory catfish

You can’t use kitchen sponges as they are usually made of cellulose. You should use a sponge made from polyurethane (taste it, if it tastes like nothing then it’s fine) or use one sold at a fish/pet store.
I used a water bottle to make a baffle.

Aquaclear sponges should be good (usually chain pet stores and lfs have them) and only a few dollars.
