So, I've been sitting here trying to figure out some new furniture to give my little guppies eventually and how I want to proceed with my tank, and a sudden idea came to mind tonight that I thought I'd share. First a question though.

Fimo clay is aquarium safe, yes? even the coloured stuff? or just the plain white?

The idea I had is to create a replica of the stargate from Stargate SG1 to put in the tank! How cool would it be to have the fish swimming through that big old ring!

I've heard conflicting opinions of using things like Fimo, Sculpey, etc in tanks. I would recommend you contact Fimo's customer service and ask.
If they aren't ok, you could always use aquarium safe epoxy putty (like smooth-on) to make decorations...

I actually thought of maybe another way to do it. Use a thin slice of 4 inch PVC pipe as the ring. Still working on the concept. Part of me just wants to take that ring and wrap it in moss...
