ID this pleco?

    hampalong is my go to guy for ID of plecos. It might be a gold spot pleco, it is very pretty whatever it is. Alison

    This one isn't a Gold Spot. Looks like one of the Leporacanthicus galaxias species. There are several species that look very similar.

    Could it be a golden nugget pleco? This isn't really my area but is just an idea

    Gold Nuggets have white to yellow edges to the dorsal and caudal fins, and the dorsal goes all the way back to the adipose fin.

    I have a gold nugget and this isnt similar.

    it is jet black with white spots and whiskers along its face and fins.
