I know the first is a Gourami species, but it's not a type I've ever seen before? And the second one I initially thought Oscar just because of its size, but I don't think that's right...

So is that just a different body type on the Pearl Gourami, and is their care any different? Would this breeding make them particularly weak?

Gourami is a short body which is a genetic defect. I would rehome the zonatus before it kills the rest of your fish.

Oh I don't own either of them haha. They're both at one of my lfs, but the store is awful at labeling tanks. The Zonatus is something I'd be interested in keeping in the future, but certainly not with my tanks full of nano fish!
