I got new fish from pet world (I know, *sigh*), one died the day after I brought him home after spending all time on the bottom of tank.
All other fish looked healthy and I treated with melafix for three days and increased salt (1 tbs/10 gal). I have live plants a do not want to kill them!
I noticed yellow dots on aquarium sealant and airline tubes, it’s a new tank so I think this is normal?
But now my large otherwise healthy looking Molly has developed white spots on tail and fins. To me they do not look like ick since they are more diffuse than defined dots.
Any idea what it is? How to treat? Is it harmful?
I got api ick treatment just in case but have not used it yet and do not want to if I don’t have to.
help please! I’ve included photos, the fish has a clear tail at first then developed the white spots.
pH- 8
KH- 240
GH- 130
NO2- 0
NO3- 0-10 ppm (mg/L)
water test is also included in pictures
