Ick? Not getting better...

My main tank has ick I believe. I have 3 Devils in there, and they are the only ones that are showing signs. The other fish are African cichlids, and show no signs of anything. I’m treating with Paragaurd, but not seeing any improvements in 5 days.
I have a nice clean 20g quarantine tank, should I move them? My thought is that it may be easier to treat in the smaller tank. They’re starting to act different, and I don’t want to lose them.

That is for sure ick. I recently did a thread on how to treat ick. Read the thread, watch the videos, and check out the links.

It may be ick, but doesn't look 100%. Th things on the tail look nodule-ish to me. I hope it is not lymphocystis.

Anyway, if it is ick, I would assume all fish in the tank potentially infected, even if they don't show symptoms.

Here are better pictures.
My apologies cause this is more clear and it might be Ich indeed (still doubt a bit).

Did you introduce new fish ?

Seperating infected fish in case of Ich is useless cause those parasites are in the watercolumn

Yes, these pictures are different, and it is a parasite of some sort (likely ick).

No new fish, nothing has changed really. I'm going to give the tank a good cleaning and start Ich-X.

Maybe it is a moot point, since the actionable items will probably not change, but for how long did you have your newest fish? If you didn't contaminate the water with live food or a fishnet from a contaminated source, it would mean the fish had it all along. A stressful event could trigger a symptomatic outbreak.

The newest fish has been in there for 6 months.

I did have a super stressful event before this started. During a water change, 2 of these RD's jumped out of the tank during a water change, they cleared 12" of empty tank. I didnt see it happen, but could hear them. I found 1 behind the cabinets, took me 5 minutes to get to him. After a few minutes he was fine. Then I heard more flopping, a 2nd fish had jumped at the same time, that fish was out of water for 8-10 minutes! I got her back in, it floated straight to the bottom, then turned right side up, wobbled around for an hour, and is now fine, except the ich of course.

Why exactly are so sure it is Ich.
I only see a kind of finrot (mainly in the first pic) and doubt it is Ich OP is facing.
I believe it is ich because ich grows on the thinnest parts of the body and creeps on to the body. White spots are ich, and in the pic I saw white spots,

Sorry, I don't have much to comment on your initial problem that hasn't already been said, but I do believe it is ich without a doubt.

I am interested in the part where your fish floated straight to the problem, then turned upside down and wobbled for about an hour. One of my fish got caught in a rock and when I got him out, he did the exact same thing. The difference is my fish died from it the same day. I thought he damaged his swim bladder from either being stuck in the rock or me trying to get him out. Did your fish just return to normal or did you do something? This has been annoying me for so long because I dont know what I did, or didn't do, or how I can prevent it from happening again. Thank you!

I had a stressful event happen and my angel got ich. I caught it super early and did heat and salt and was able to stop treatment quite early. While perhaps you can take the sick ones out to treat in a clean tank (and that sounds great) I still think you have to treat the others. Although perhaps they never got it Bc they have been treated like you said for the past five days?!

When I finally found that fish, I thought it was dead for sure. When he floated to the bottom, he was upside down, then he turned upright and wobbled badly for an hour. I didn't do anything, except I had to step in and protect it from the other fish a couple times until it regained it's senses. They swooped on in that fish fast.

Of course, your injured fish was a sitting duck. Ok I appreciate it. I wonder why my case was different.

Its definitely ich. Turn the temperature up to 31 degrees celcius slowly, like 1degree per hr.

And dose blue planet fungus cure
