Ick in Corydoras?

Aquaticguy

Today I woke up and saw a small white dot in my corydoras dorsal fin it’s only one little white dot. Idk if this is ick or something else, and so if it is ick what can I do. I don’t want to put salt cuz I heard Cory catfish are sensitive to salt, I also don’t want to add medicine because I don’t really have a quarantine tank and idk if it will stress my fish out. Rn I’m stressing out. Can someone plz tell me what it is? And how to treat it.

kind of hard to tell from the picture, but are there more? does it bulge out? do you see him rubbing against deco/gravel?

if the answer is yes to those questions, it is probably ich. raise your temp to 82-86f (27-30c) for 2 weeks and it should go away on its own, at least it did for me

Hi, that looks like a fatty secretion particularly common in C.aenus, it’s usually caused by over feeding or too much high protein food.
Cut down on the feeding for a few days & it should go away by itself.

Rn my temp is 26-27. I found a solution, I basically add garlic (half piece for 10 gallons) and I do regular water changes. Hopefully the ich will die and so I can add my new guppy fry!

Think the gland is behind the dorsal instead of in front. But i doubt it is Ich.
I wouldn't do anything.
