Hiya, I have a random question ! Can you see ich/velvet under the microscope ? Is this a possible way of testing you have got rid of the parasites ?

Yes, you can see ich under a microscope. It's free swimming, and if it grows big enough you can see it just with the naked eye. It looks like a U shaped nucleus under a microscope.

interesting! I think I might try and test out my QT to make sure treatment has worked before I take out the medication.

Be cautious relying one a few drops of water especially since ich has a life cycle where it is only free swimming at one stage of its life.
I would not rely on this method to see if it is corrected.

Wait about two weeks to see if you fish are free of spots. If no spots in 2 weeks you’re clear.

Thanks for your advice, I have an eel so I can't rely on seeing the spots unfortunately. I lost my other fish

Watch treating the eel. They are more sensitive to meds.

Yea using chloroquine as I know eels are sensitive to copper.
