I got 2 parrot fish and 6 german blue rams all new. They developed ich a few days after receiving them. I had my rubberlip pleco in my tank.
The tank is 65 gallon and was completely cycled before putting the fish in.
To treat the ich ( I discovered 3-5 amall salt like grains on my parrot fish and rams) I put the temperature to 86 and started seachem paraguard. I'm on day 8 of treatment and I finally stopped seeing white dots on the fish around day 6. The temp stays between 85-86 degrees since the weather has been a little colder. I did 1 water change 3 days ago since starting treatment and did a gravel vacuum.
My question is how long do I continue treatment for? I previously had the temp at 82 before starting treatment.
The fish have always acted fine and eating normally.
