I got another outbreak of early ich. Should I use heat and salt or Meds. I need to act fast. I may just give up on trying to keep fish. I do everything right and use all sorts of quick start stress stuff, ammonia removers and do proper maintenance. I can't believe that my fish have ich for the second time after having them for a week. I'm at my wits end. All the time ive spent and money is being wasted. And not too mention I feel really bad when my fish die. If I had known all my fish were just going to get ich I never would have bought an aquarium. I have 6 balas, 2 geos, pleco, bachir, eclipse catfish, 1 blue acara in a 125 gallon. tank is cycled all water parameters are within reason.

Heat and salt definitely. If it is affecting most your fish I would use meds too. If it's just one I would treat with meds in a separate tank if you have one.
I live in the UK where most meds need a vetinary prescription so I would use something like mellafix or pimafix. If you live where stronger meds are available then I would take advice from your local store as to what's best. Aquarium salt is best used in conjunction with most meds. I use a dose of 1.44g per liter.

If you've only had the fish a week you don't have ich again, you never got rid of it in the first place. The ich life cycle takes about 6 days. To be sure you get rid of ich, you typically need to treat it for a minimum of two weeks. Get some ich medication. If your fish have already had it for at least a week, you need meds not heat and salt. Don't do combine treatments.
You used Super Ich cure last week right? Do it again! Turn tank temp up to 82°F. Remove ALL carbon from your filtration and THROW IT AWAY. If you put that carbon back in your tank after treating the tank, you will reinfect your tank. Treat the tank according to the directions on the Super Ich cure. BEFORE TREATMENT, do a 75% water change and vacuum substrate thoroughly. DURING TREATMENT only do water changes as directed on medication instructions. IF you still see spots on the fish after the treatment is complete, repeat the treatment again.

You only need the heat method if you have Snails or Inverts and can't take the meds. Meds work fastest for fish only. Keep on it as long as it says.

thank you guys for your help and support. Does garlic and ginger help with ich or parasites in general and if so how do you use it? I will make a separate post regarding this topic
