Ich or sand on Pleco? Help

So we had a common pleco in one of our smaller tanks with cichlids and he was getting too big so we moved him to our bigger tank, also with cichlids. Both fish in both tanks were healthy prior to the move; which was about a week ago.
He seemed to be doing great but this morning my fiancé sent me this picture of the Pleco; is this sand or ich? We use a sand substrate in the tank and the Pleco is very active and seemed to be doing great. None of the fish seem to have these spots in either the tank he’s in or the one he came from.
What should we do? I don’t necessarily want to treat for ich if it’s not that and potentially do any harm. TIA

The first picture a lot of it really looks like sand to me, like he been digging around in it and kicking it up. If thats the case, a lot should fall off if you ever see it hanging on the glass.

But keep an eye on it for a day or two, having just moved, he could be stressed out enough for ich to get attached
