Ich on my Guppies? Treatment Methods?

I have a few guppies and one neon tetra in the same tank. I recently moved the neon tetra in the tank because I had to thoroughly clean its tank, so it'll be in there for a few weeks maybe.

Besides the point, I had five guppies at the beginning of the week. Two of them died within a few days, no physical appearance issues, just dead. Did a 20% - 30% water change the day I found them. Today, I realized some small white spots on two of my remaining guppies. All of the white spots are on their back tails. They are swimming towards the top of the tank and in one spot, which I know is a common symptom of Ich. They are not struggling to breathe or swim from what it looks like, but they are staying in one general spot at the very top of the tank, not typical of what normal, healthy guppies tend to do.

Also, I have this medication that treats Ich. Is this a good product to use if it is Ich? Any tips and tricks on how to stop the spread of it and get rid of it?

I use ich-x on my tanks, but i have a lot of snails as well. If you have snails, don't use copper. But if not, should be able to use. Don't know how effective it is against ich though? Someone else would probably know better for sure, like A201 or MacZ

I don’t have snails in this tank, but I do have live plants. Is copper alright to use with live plants?

I think copper is just bad for invertebrates like snails and shrimp. Yes copper is bad for plants. I would find something else.

Coppersafe would likely get rid of Ich, but it's really a harsh medication & is definitely overkill. Coppersafe will likely kill the invertebrates & damage plants. IMO, Copper Sulfate should only be used as a last resort & only for Oodinium.
If possible raise the temperature to 86 - 87 degrees & leave it there for 10 days. That should clear things up.
If you don't want to use the heat method, you might try "Microbe Lift Herbtana" sold at Petco. It's safe for plants & invertebrates.
Herbtana cured an Ich outbreak on my Denison Barbs.

Thank you, I’m going to try the Herbtana method.

Just interested, how would you raise the temperature that high? Just adding slightly hotter water or something else mechanical like a stronger heater?

I simply adjust my heater upward & let the water gradually reach 86 degrees.

doesn't look like ich to me in the pictures, looks like mild fin fungus or bacteria, all the fish look to be in poor physical condition and thin also, including the neon tetra. I mean the guppies are supposed to have dorsal and analfins right? if they are there, they have them held tight against the body. and in general, they all don't look to be in too good of a condition.

I dunno, maybe ich....
