Ich On My Angelfish And Ph Problems

I have had this Angelfish, along with two platies, a rainbow shark, a molly, and two zebra danios in my 20 gallon tank for 4 days now. (I did not get all of these fish at once, but this angel I have only had for 4 days) I had one plecostomus and another angelfish die two days ago. Everyone else in the tank seems perfectly fine, except for my angelfish. Since my other angel and plecostomus died, I started to notice that the angel has began to have more and more little white dots on her fins and tail. I checked my pH and everything 2 days ago, everything was perfectly normal besides my pH, which is anywhere from an 8.5 to a 9 every time I test it. I bought mopanI wood to help with the pH two days ago, and it still hasn't gone down or anything yet. Just wondering if this is Ich on my Angel, and what I should do next if it is. Also, any tips on helping my pH problem?

It looks like ich to me, I would turn heat up to 86 degrees and do a water change every other day. Did your other fish die from ich or something else? You can always treat with an ich treatment to get rid of it rapidly.

How long has this tank been setup for? What is ammonia, nitrites and nitrates of this tank?

I don't have a heater, how much do those cost? My other fish died within two days of me getting them so I believe they died because the pH was too high. My tank has been set up since August, and ammonia is 0, the nitrites are 0, and nitrates are 10.

What is the temperature of the tank? Do you live someplace warm? You could buy an over the counter ich medication. Most of them have malachite green in them.

The place where I live isn't very warm right now, and the tank is about 66 degrees. Would the Ich medication be safe, or do you advise getting a heater instead?

Those are tropical fish you have and are probably very stressed from no heat and will die from it. They need temperatures close to 80, especially the angel fish. I would get a heater asap. The rule of thumb for wattage is 5w per gallon.

Are you treating with medicine or just the heat? I'm glad you got the heater, you needed it, they were under a lot of stress at 66 degrees. Slowly turn it up to 86, if its ich the spots might get worse before they get better, once the disappear leave it at 86 for a full two weeks with a water change every 2-3 days and gravel vac.
