Ich In Non-reef Tank

So my LFS suggested I use this product: SELCO Boost and soak the food in this substance. They also gave me frozen food: marine aquaculture anti-parasitic RX.

It is just my tang that looks to have ich. The tang won't eat the anti-parasitic RX but will eat pellets soaked in the SELCO Boost.

Are these effective ways in eradicating ich? I've looked at youtube videos that demand a hospital or QT tank. I don't have an extra tank.

If there is really ich in your tank you should put the fish in quarantine tank and treat it. You can use copper but be very careful while using it. Also if there is ich on your tang its likely to have been contaminated your whole tank. Same happened with but in my case it was marine velvet and it killed everything. I had to bring down my tank. I am not sure about dosing medication in the display tank may be someone else would b able to help you in this

Invertebrates don't get ich or marine velvet but yes all fish should b qaurinted and if possible you will have to do something about the display tank because that would be contaminated as well. Make be you can treat your display tank as well but again I am not certain about treating display tank

You need to leave your tank fallow (fishless) for at least 12 weeks. Once you have treated your fish and that time has passed, the ich should have starved out, and you can return your fish to the display tank.

This, if you want to have the best possible chance of getting rid of ich completely.
