What has m blue in it I have super ick cure
Methylene blue is a stand-alone product. You can get it for under $10 at some fish stores. If you don't have it, I would just stick with your ich treatment though, since that looks like a manifestation of ich to me and not a fungus.

Just continue with ich treatment and get that cured up before you try treating for other issues that might resolve after ich treatment is done.

It doesn't look like neon tetra disease to me, just ich. Continue ich treatment, and see if you can (slowly) get the temperature up any higher.

Which medication are you using?

When I use Kordon's Ich Attack or Rid Ich Plus, I dose twice a day at full strength, even with "sensitive" fish.

Why are you dosing at half strength?

Also, I try to do a thorough vac of substrate and minimum 50% water change at least every 3 days when treating for Ich.

Can I do a third dose of ich medicine
Follow the dosing instructions on the medication container, and if that means an additional dose, then sure.

Ok it’s not looking good it’s staying alive but almost vertical and still has fungus

It says to do 1 dose every 48 hours then after 2 do a water change and add carbon should I add carbon for an hour then do the treatment again

Sure, though I'm not sure how much carbon would help if only for an hour. I might just start the second round even if it means adding on top of the medications already in there. And it's not fungus, it really does look to me like ich, but I don't have any pictures of any of the other fish to confirm.

None of the other fish have here’s pictures of the ones that dies

Here’s more pics and should I do a water change in between pit seems more mobile today it could just be old and that’s why it’s tail is drooping here’s more pics of the ones that died

It really looks like fungus it’s like hanging off but it’s swimming a bit better

I already did two dosages like it said at half dose for my pleco can I do more. Should I do a water change then do more or can I just do more the box says two dosages then add carbon.

It gets stuck in a corner tries to swim up but doesn’t and my danios are nipping then it moves well

What are the active ingredients of the med ?
Most meds need to be installed daily until you see no spots for 3-7 days .

SM1199
  • #71
Again, it's ich, not a fungus. Continue repeating the ich treatment until the white spots drop off, and at that point, do a very large water change (make sure to vacuum the gravel) and then treat again, since the treatment that kills ich only kills it when it's detached from the fish. I would only stop treating after a week of ich-free fish. At that point, do another very large water change and put the carbon back in permanently and you'll be done.

I would think that water changes and daily dosing would be the procedure then .
I use Kordon Super Rid Ich Plus which is MG and formalin .
It is installed daily with water changes every other day I think ?
Either way you should be vacuuming to remove ichs as they fall and keeping the meds in force so they can be active when the ich falls to kill it .
Ich can only be killed when it is off the fish so don't be fooled by 1 or 2 days that the fish looks good . 3 days is minimum with no spots to stop treatment.

here is what you need to know about ich .
One of the best articles ever IMO.

Know your enemy !

Maybe just me but when using die based meds like MG or MB if the tank is not tinted the color of med it is not in force and is not effective .
I have clown loaches [16 years] .I starte 1/2 dose day one if everyone is good full dose after . Directions for my stuff say it can and may be installed 2xa day .
Water changes are important also as organics in water use up the med before it can work .

I have plants hould I do a 3/4

Do you see color ? If so how long does it last ..Surely not 2 days ..If the med is not in force when the ich falls it will not kill it and then it will multiply by the hundreds ,maybe thousands.
Read the link if you haven't ..

You need to judge if 1/2 dose is doing anything ?
In most cases it will not by itself .
Possibly raising tank temp also if you don't want to use full dose .

The ich is not gone .It has fallen off the fish to breed at best ..
If you don't kill ich it will kill your fish .

Once it is totally gone on all fish, you want to continue to dose for 4-6 days after. To ensure any invisible floating buts aren't swimming in your tank.

Most meds only kill tomonts I believe, which is the stage before they attach to your fish.

So now that they've dropped off, they're working on trying to breed again so that they can reinfect the fish.
They're laying on the sand in a sticky ball, so make sure you vacuum while finishing dosing.
