Hello!

I have a 100L tank and have been trying to grow plants so my GBR can feel a bit more covered.

I have all of the liquids but still had no luck (everything melts apart from some plants). My substrate is yellow sand (fine).

I have read that the plants require nutrients under the sand. So I bought Tropica Growth Substrate and require to now get it under the sand. I don’t want to get any fish out the tank (I have 14 fish and 7 shrimp) so I thought about 2 methods, instead of redoing the whole tank...

Method 1 - Frozen ice cubes with substrate in it, so it melts in position after placement.

Method 2 - Capsule with the soil inside, placed under sand to dissolve.

Both methods should technically work, however has anyone tried either method before or has a better idea let me know!

Thanks in advance!
