I Want To Aquascape My Nano Tank!

Hi! So as of today I made up my mind to re model my tank and do more of a natural aquascape look. I had a few questions hopefully someone can chime in

Will removing and adding rocks , and extra plants ruin my tanks cycle?

Any safety tips to prep hard scape before I put it inside my tank? (Residuals from bark, rock, branch, etc.)

I currently have two Anubia plant and a algae ball. And black gravel as substrate.
-do I need to change my substrate to have more plants than my Anubia?

any one have cool aquascape tanks to share and give some inspiration ?

Thanks

1) No, rocks hold very little bacteria if used as hardscape
2) You really need to know what you're doing if you're finding hardscape. ID the rock(s), find if it is safe to use, wash it, place it in a boiling water/vinegar mix, let it sit & then rinse it well.
3) No, just add fertilisers i.e root tabs or osmocote + flourish.

Fine gravel is okay but my plants hated coarse gravel. There's a reason you won't see any of the super aquascapers use it.

Do you have any suggestions on where I can look for hardscape or plants

Tropica aquarium soil but I think the volcanic soils are all quite similar. In another tank I use unipac kivu sand plus root tabs. The sand is on the coarser side but it's nothing like gravel. I also have superfine white sand. I don't recommend it, it,s got algae growing on it!

Adding rocks and plants shouldn't ruin your cycling. Could we know what fish you are planning to keep? Also you could keep tons more plants than anubias and you don't need to change your substrate. I'm keeping dwarf saggitaria, cryptocoryne, java fern, cabomba, and java moss in black gravel and I think amazon sword, water wisteria, hornwort, duckweed, aquatic cardinal plant, dwarf lillies, and hygrophilas work as well.

Any recommendations on how to get grass carpet started?

Sounds like a nice set up! Do you happen to know how to start with a nice grass carpet, maybe maintenance tips and equipment needed. I have a betta fish in my 6.8 gallon tank

My carpets have all failed, I think because my light is very basic and no CO2.
But I have a carpet effect with dwarf sag.

You could get dwarf sag and you could aquascpe your tank by trimming the stuff at the front quite often while letting the stuff at the back grow longer before giving it a short trim. This way the amount of largeness will slope upward making your tank look bigger. Tools I'm not so sure about... you will, of course, need something to trim it with but I'm not sure if there's a specific tool for that.

I'm doing more research, and I probably will need CO2 Ive seen some diffusers .. it sounds like soil is used as substrate for the carpet grass I'm still doing research
