I Want To Add Plants...

I have a ten gallon divided tank with two betta right now and all I have in it is some decorations and fake plants. (Don’t worry, they’re soft enough they won’t rip the fins) but I really want to add some real plants and get rid of the fake ones. I’m just using gravel and I know that’s not sufficient enough to keep them alive but what steps should I take in order to start installing live plants? I’m new to this whole thing so I honestly might have a lot of questions. If someone could explain the process or what I would need that would be very helpful. Thank you!

Yup, anubias and java fern can just be tied down to rocks and driftwood. You can also consider floating plants such as frogbit. Hornwort is also well reputed, but I have no luck with it.

you can try crypts as well, they are easy to grow just need some root tabs as they are root feeders. I have some planted in gravel and they are doing great.

Would I just put these in the gravel or something?

I just searched it up to see if my nearest pet store has it, is it’s full name cryptocoryne? Thank you!

Yes, crypts are short for cryptocoryne. Hope you have a good experience with these plants!
