Moderators, please move this to the stocking questions section, my device won’t let me enter that area for an odd reason.

Hello! I really want to find a fish for my community tank, it used to have a Kribensis, but he died after the tank relaunch, probably stress. What I am really looking for is an active fish, something that can work with my other fish, and non aggressive.

I tried a betta, but decided mine aren’t the fit for the tank.

What do you think is best? Should I go with another Kribensis?
    Here’s my stocking right now.

    30 gallon
    11 Cherry Barbs
    6 Albino Cory
    Ghost Shrimp
    1 Honey Gourami
    1 Bristlenose

    Maybe Dwarf cichlids like
    Appistogramma Cacatuoide
    Appistogramma Borelli
    Apistogramma McMasteri
These guys are really cool looking, and very active.
    Also, maybe Bolivian rams ?
The German blues need warmer water, but I think Bolivians would be ok.

I love all of these suggestions!
My water temperature is set to 76.8 right now.

What about a Gold Ram, or not?

I think that is a color variation of the German blue ram, so I would assume it requires the same water temp, but I am not sure

I think so, I’ll keep browsing.

What kinds of colors, body shapes, or sizes are you looking for?

Microctenopama ansorgiis are great, they act like betta splendens but aren’t aggressive. I have two males and the most aggressive they get is the dominant one chasing the other away or trying to steal food from other fish. I actually have them with cories and cherries and love it.

Anything that will work in my tank with my stocking, I am fine with :)

Oh, I will check those out! They may be harder to get at my LFS, but I will ask.

Wetspot has them as well, if your interested in getting any fish shipped.

Don’t hate on me, but I put my female HMPK in for now :)
    She’s doing really good!

I’m not going to hate on you for anything like that. I may not reccomend it(because of slight temp incompatibility with the cherries), but it’s nothing to hate anyone over. It’s your tank, your choice and I know you know your stuff, so I’ll wish you the best.

    Thanks! :)
I put almond in there a while ago, and one floats after water changes. She’s found that she can go inside of it to hide, just because it’s rolled up. I thought it was funny!

    Well, she’s being removed.
I feel it’s not right to put her below temperature, and have her with those other fish.
