Yes Looks like a cool plant.

I have not seen any cory babies. I have been moving things around in the 44 looking, but nothing. It's ok, they will spawn again after I redo the 44. I will do a large water change. That should trigger a spawn

Since there are no babies you can move forward with the over hall right? I'm sure it'll be amazing based on the original.

I initially had monte but between diatoms, and a malfunctioning heater I lost it. Hopefully you have better luck with yours.

The plan is to do the build this weekend. Yeah, diatoms can be a pain. But this tank is well over 20 years old and has never suffered from them.

We will see how it goes

You're lucky. For some reason the diatoms are back in mine. I don't understand why, I haven't done anything that could affect my Cycle...maybe the flourish?

How old is the glass in the tank? Diatoms like silica.

The tank is 4 1/2 months old. I guess that explains it. Luckily my clean up crew is doing a decent job eating it.
