I just tested my water today, and I think I may be ready for more fish but I want to know for sure before going to the pet store. my readings are this:

pH - 7.0
nitrites - .25
nitrates-0...could be a little higher, but color wasn't near dark enough to be in the 5 range
ammonia-2

should I pick up some ammplock or amquel plus to condition water just to make sure?
I came home from work today to a crystal clear tank for the first time so I am excited that I am cycled or at least close

Don't add any fish today! Before adding fish your water chemistry must be right. Ammonia at 0, nitrites at 0 and nitrates <20. Your ammonia is too high to be healthy for the fish you have currently. I suggest a 30% water change today, and test again tomorrow to see whether the chemistry has improved. If not, do another water change. Adding chemicals is fraught with danger, let nature take its course. You'll be adding fish in no time! Good Luck!

so from what I understand my nitrates are ok, but my ammonia and my nitrites are still too high?

Yep, you are doing well! When your ammonia and nitrites are both at 0, and your nitrates are at least at 5, you are there!
