Fish do respond to their environment. They can see color, just on a different spectrum. So a plastic plant and a real plant that both look green to us may look totally different to them. Being more like a natural habitat may make them feel safer.

Welcome to the world of live plants Be warned, plants can be as enthralling as fish
Fish do much better with live plants. Plants help with water quality, provide a comfortable place for fish to live, will not injure the fish, and at times are a bit of a snack.

Be sure to feed the Amazons root tabs. I use SeaChem Root tabs (along with other supplements)

Two Amazons and a Madagascar lace plant.
