I need filtration in a newly planted tank?

HI everybody, I just setup a 54 litres tank 2 days ago and I planted some baby tears and minI hair grass for a nice carpet, and some bacopa for background. First I started the tank with the purpose of breeding a pair of bettas I have, but I got overwhelmed with the idea of aquascaping and now I got some things I'm not sure about. I have also an Eheim aquaball 60 filter in.
Here is my questions: can breed them if I got water movements? Should I remove the filter? Is it OK for the newly planted plants without filter? Do I have to choose plants or breeding?
I hope someone can help me, because I really want to breed my bettas, but I enjoy the small corner of nature I made it also.
Thanks. I wish you all a perfect day

Are you equipped for everything that goes into breeding bettas?

Hello,
I am not familiar with that filter but you can always adjust the flow. If it's non adjustable on the filter itself you can always add a bit a sponge to reduce it.

The plants can live without a filter but they will do better with one and with a bit of water flow.

As for the breeding... Have you checked out the Betta section on this forum? That may be a better place to post this.
Hopefully someone with more Betta experience will come along.

I think so, I got the half foam cup, the heater, the filter I mentioned, plants, and hidding spots. But this was the reason why I asked that questions, because this new tank with new plants and substrate was purchased initialy for breeding them, but I put the filter also. what happen if I remove the filter? will the plants adapt/survive? can I breed them in this tank with that filter there?

My filter is adjustable, is on minimum now but I stil got the water movements , and it destroys the nest. My concern was more about the plants, if they will adapt without a filter in the begining ?

Do you have properly sized grow out tanks, 50-100 individual small tanks for the males, and the time needed to monitor them all daily?

Check out the betta forum for more information on breeding them.

I will try with a sponge on the filter, I think it may help. thanks a lot.

I got the tank and the time. but the reason I posted it here and not on betta forum, because I was more concern about the plants, if they will survive in a new tank, new plants, without a filter. Thank you

They should survive. They may not grow as quickly but they should be fine. I've accidently grown plants in containers on my counter.
Put the clippings in there intending to deal with them and got busy for a few weeks. They didn't die but they also didn't grow like they would have in the tank.

I'd be more concerned about the Bettas in a non filtered tank, but like I've said I'm really not familiar with Betta breeding.
