I need an emergency way to separate a betta

So my previously docile betta had just broken the spine of one of my last two endlers. He's still alive and I'm about to eithanise him. Need ideas for that. I have one injured one left and I don't have any spare tanks. I don't want my Endler at risk but he will kill him definitely in the night and I have no deviders. I have no idea what to do.

Endlers died in another few seconds.

Do you have a temporary holding space for your betta? I would separate him right away, if only into a container (make sure to cover it).

He's now in the waterchange cut short period until my Endler comes out and I can swap them. I can't keep him warm though an that's the issue.

Hel get too cold and I know he's determined to kill the endler

He should be fine without warmth if it’s only for a short time. Sometimes what I do when I don’t have a heater is just put warm water (slowly, so it’s not a temp shock) into the tank. Than add plastic wrap on top (make sure there is a few holes) to trap in the humidity, and wrap maybe a towel around the rest to insulate it. That generally keeps the water pretty warm for me.

Other endler has a broken back so euthanasia is going to be taken in not too long. I feel really bad for it.

If you need help with the euthanasia I would say the most humane method is the clove oil method, works efficiently. You can find a few videos on how to do it: puts them to sleep.

I'll try but Boris shouted at my whole country so I'll see if I can get it.

Would it be too painful to just let the betta kill then endler. I know he kills the fast but I have to act very quickly. The betta is hunting him and its really worrying me.

I probably sound really immature but I've never had to deal with something like this before. I've had the betta for a long time and the fighting only started recently.

I use plastic craft mesh canvas to separate fish and even sewed pieces of them together in order to corral fish in a 75g..... works like a charm.
