I Love Blackberries!

So I went foraging tonight. Luckily I’ve got lots so didn’t require a lot of moving. This is my first blind pie! No laughing allowed! I’ll post a pic of the hopefully not burnt pie later!

New braces are nothing. I feel your pain though. Literally. Tooth pulling pain is something I never forget. I truly am sorry. Just a little hint: make the candy coating, dip in apple sauce, let it melt in your mouth. But do not bite. Sticks like crazy!

Just remember, today’s braces are a thousand times easier on the teeth but you can’t get away with the things I did way back then. You’ll be so glad you did this! Truly.

 

Well. Guess what I forgot. And would’ve remembered had I tasted a blackberry before I made the pie. Too much rain in too short a time makes for plump juicy TASTELESS berries. AND evidently I crushed the edges of the pie crust putting the foil on. Neuropathy sucks. I still want to cry.

 

Even bland pie is good pie, at least I think so. Add some whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, or both. Problem solved

Hubby says it’s fine. Wouldn’t let me throw it out. Idk. My tastebuds are totally wonked. He did overdose the whipped cream though!

I love crumble. Peach is my fave but pretty much any fruit crumble! Yummm. Feed me! Lol
