I lost my panther crab :(

Where did my panther crab go?

I cannot find him in my tank! I thought the top was closed well so I don't know what could have happened to him? Can they squeeze through tiny holes?

 

chances are its still in the tank (they hide really well) but look everywhere,around the tank,under stuff around the tank,behind the tank,filters,tank decor,plants,ect.

not much I can help other than that,be sure to check a good distance around the tank since the can go far on land.

how big is the hole and how big is the crab?

 

It is a juvenile. Not more than 2-3 inches in diameter. I loved the little guy! I will look everywhere, including in the tank! If he did escape, I would imagine my kitty would eat him. Would it hurt my cat to eat him? Is he poisonous

will it hurt me or kitty? e.g. bite?

 

I don't think they are harmful other than pinching,so I think your cats safe...

nope, so I assume that kitty ate him and hid the remains. :-/ lost a crab heh. It was cute while I had it
