I Have Had The Worst Day.

I ordered 13 little Opae Ula shrimp to go with the 7 o already have. Below recounts my experience so far in the quest to attain them.

6/18 seller shipped package
6/20 it’s in TX at the Coppell distribution center
6/20 Processing exception, package put back into circulation
6/21 Processing exception, package put back into circulation. Try to call the distribution center but they’re closed until Monday.
6/22 Processing exception, package put back into circulation
6/23 Processing exception, package put back into circulation
6/24 Processing exception, package put back into circulation. I call the distribution center and the lady tells me she doesn’t know why they just kept throwing it back in the pile when it wouldn’t scan. She says she’ll remedy the situation.
6/25 Processing exception, package put back into circulation. Finally though, it is sent to Frisco, which by the way is a 30 minute drive from Coppell, but somehow it arrives to Frisco on...
6/26 Arrives in Frisco. I get an email saying it’s ready to pick up at the post office. They don’t give me an address for which of the 3 post offices in Frisco it might be. I go to the nearest one. It’s not the right one. The lady at the desk directs me to the correct one. I go there and they say oh, it’s on the delivery truck to be delivered today. I say are you sure? Because it’s marked to be held because it contains live animals and it’s hot out. He says yes. I go home. As soon as I get home I receive another email to go to a specific address all the way across town because my package is being held there. This is when the tears start. And a little bit of screaming to the sky. I go to the address. It’s not a post office. It’s an office building, and the sweet people there tell me it has to be a mistake. I call the Frisco post office. They tell me it was just delivered to my mailbox 10 minutes ago. Naturally as it is hot and I am now across town, 15 minutes away, I am worried about their exposure to the heat. I get home and check the mailbox. The package is not there. I call the Frisco post office again. The lady who answers says well yes, of course it’s here at the post office ready for pick up. I lose it. I yell at her a bit about how I’ve been given the run around and how am I supposed to trust that it is actually there since I was already there this morning and was told it was out for delivery. She tells me she is physically holding the package.

Excuse the language, but I F&$%#*^ SWEAR, if it is not there I am going to lose it in public and probably make a scene of myself.

So yeah, they’ve been in a box for 8 days, no telling if they are even going to be alive at this point.

Hope they are ok !
I ship several boxes a week and this is not common at all.
That being said I have lost it with a few states and their seeming delinquencies !
Michigan sucks the worst [they make you pay express if you know and care !] ,Indiana and Texas fall into a close second !
I had Electric Blue Rams get lost between me[NY] and California in February only to have them arrive after 14 days all good ..They were clearly lost indoors !
I have had Texas kill my fish on express [overnight ] like for a month straight while all other boxes made it safely to their destination ..
I ship a lot and count the cost of shipping as the customers money ,I try not to spend more of it then needed .I use the USPS a lot and for the money they are better ,but if you want to have it guaranteed then use express.1 day late gets you your shipping fee refunded ..Fed ex and UPS are guaranteed to be 2X the cost of USPS Express IME..

I kind of want to rate your post "funny" because it sounds like slapstick but I'll not ruin your day any further. I hope your shrimp are alright though...

Thankfully, as hardy as they are everyone made it. Can’t get a good pic though.

Wow...what a disaster. I thought things like that only happened to me! You were patient long enough. Hope your little shrimps were alive.
