I ordered 13 little Opae Ula shrimp to go with the 7 o already have. Below recounts my experience so far in the quest to attain them.
6/18 seller shipped package
6/20 it’s in TX at the Coppell distribution center
6/20 Processing exception, package put back into circulation
6/21 Processing exception, package put back into circulation. Try to call the distribution center but they’re closed until Monday.
6/22 Processing exception, package put back into circulation
6/23 Processing exception, package put back into circulation
6/24 Processing exception, package put back into circulation. I call the distribution center and the lady tells me she doesn’t know why they just kept throwing it back in the pile when it wouldn’t scan. She says she’ll remedy the situation.
6/25 Processing exception, package put back into circulation. Finally though, it is sent to Frisco, which by the way is a 30 minute drive from Coppell, but somehow it arrives to Frisco on...
6/26 Arrives in Frisco. I get an email saying it’s ready to pick up at the post office. They don’t give me an address for which of the 3 post offices in Frisco it might be. I go to the nearest one. It’s not the right one. The lady at the desk directs me to the correct one. I go there and they say oh, it’s on the delivery truck to be delivered today. I say are you sure? Because it’s marked to be held because it contains live animals and it’s hot out. He says yes. I go home. As soon as I get home I receive another email to go to a specific address all the way across town because my package is being held there. This is when the tears start. And a little bit of screaming to the sky. I go to the address. It’s not a post office. It’s an office building, and the sweet people there tell me it has to be a mistake. I call the Frisco post office. They tell me it was just delivered to my mailbox 10 minutes ago. Naturally as it is hot and I am now across town, 15 minutes away, I am worried about their exposure to the heat. I get home and check the mailbox. The package is not there. I call the Frisco post office again. The lady who answers says well yes, of course it’s here at the post office ready for pick up. I lose it. I yell at her a bit about how I’ve been given the run around and how am I supposed to trust that it is actually there since I was already there this morning and was told it was out for delivery. She tells me she is physically holding the package.
Excuse the language, but I F&$%#*^ SWEAR, if it is not there I am going to lose it in public and probably make a scene of myself.
So yeah, they’ve been in a box for 8 days, no telling if they are even going to be alive at this point.
