I have a four month old molly who is pregnant, and two other older ones who are also pregnant. one of the older ones have dropped 8 fry so far. In the tank I have 7 barbs as well. I want to know how to stop my fry surviving because it is getting very crowded
Any help?

I also have 8 3 week olds

Your best bet would be to rehome the females. They'll keep producing fry for many more months, so it's best to rehome all of them and only keep males so you're not overwhelmed.

I haven't got any other tanks to put them in

Can you return them to your LFS or sell/give them away on Craigslist or the like?

I might try that, only if I have too many though. They might die as yet

Any thoughts why the mum and dad haven't eaten them?

out of my first lot only one survived, second lot 7 survived and this lot 8 so far. Why are the other fish not eating them

Because the fry are hiding or they're not hungry. I would not rely on other fish to control your fry - you're the best at that, and you can rehome the adult females so you're not overwhelmed.

Ok. I'll try the local fish store and see if they'll take this lot
