My aunt who I have been very close with the past 12 yrs...found out she has lung cancer, later stage. :-\ I am soo upset. She is only 57 rs old and treats me like I am her kid. Gosh she still hands me a $20 bill when I see her. Like I am still a kid, lol. She is getting CAT scan tomorrow.
They are going try to remove the cancer thru surgery.
Can we have some more bad news.
Kind puts our fish issues in perspective tho.
Send lots of get well vibes for my Aunt.

I'm really sorry to hear that...hopefully the surgery will go well, and I know everyone here on FL will keep her in their prayers!

...as long as I got $20 for no reason I would be more than happy to be a kid and believe in dino claus too!!!

Best of luck to her.

Since it sounds like you two are fairly close, this is probably unnecessary, but be there for her. Hearing the words "you have cancer" is one of the most frightening things a person can go through, and having close friends/family around for support helps a lot.

HI Allie,
I am sorry to hear about your Aunt. That is so sad and such a hard thing for both of you guys to deal with. Like Karen said.....Never underestimate the impossible. My grandpa had cancer and was given 6 months to live. After treatment, he has been in complete remission for 8 years. He is now considered a medical miracle. All of the doctors said that it was his wonderful optimistic outlook on life and determination to survive that kept him alive. I hope that your aunt can pull through this. I know that it is a hard time, but I believe that if she can keep her spirits up throughout this whole thing, she can make a full recovery. I hope you are alright, and you know we are always here for you.

What sad news. I was best friends and a caretaker for a woman who had survived cancer twice; the human spirit can overcome so much. I'm sending positive vibes to you and your aunt, so that she can be strong, and you can be strong for her, too.

x Guys. Hopefully you are right. She has been thru a lot the past 12 years. :console:
My father just had prostate cancer last year, but it wasn't as bad my poor aunt's lung cancer is. They removed it with surgery & was just the first stage. This is the second time she has had cancer in the past 3 years. Plus she had a heart attack & she has a disease which is so what like lupus, Mis connective skin tissue disease or something like that. It's like her body is breaking down on her. :'( We'll know more once she gets the CAT scan done this morning and gets the results back.
I wish I could put her in a tank with meds and make her well.
