Woo another box!
This box also came courtesy of Rogue, as many of my boxes do. I received two female GBRs and 10 neons. We actually acclimated them for about eight hours, because I was gone all day and my boyfriend didn't want to put them in the tank without me. So when I say "we acclimated," I obviously didn't do any of the acclimating Better safe than sorry! It also ended up being a mini-water change, since he had to put more water back in the tanks since he took so much out.
The two GBRs are so cute! They weren't shy at all and didn't dart around when I took the cover off the bucket I was acclimating them in. They went in the 55 gallon. Unfortunately they fought in the bag, and the smaller one lost a considerable chunk of her tail. It's disintegrated a bit more since yesterday and looks white, so I think it might be fungus, unfortunately. I'll be making a thread about that in a bit, so keep your eyes open! I figured I might as well make a separate thread for my questions regarding that.
The neons look great! They were wild-caught in Brazil. Normally I'm not a huge fan of wild-caught fish, as I obviously can't adequately replicate their environment, but these were already caught and have been in a tank for awhile, so they're merely changing owners. The little splash of blue is the perfect addition to my tank. I finally have a tank that's done now!! It feels so weird haha.
Anyway, here are a few pictures and videos. Some of the pictures of the rams are right after I added them; they've colored up considerably since then. Of course, the neons are pretty much impossible to photograph. Enjoy, and let me know what you think!
