Funny I didn’t want snails at first...

Funny thing, we originally got a fish tank for my son(he was 4, now almost 6) and my husband saw some snails in the tanks at the pet store and suggested we get some for something different in the tank, I didn’t want snails because I thought they were gross and creepy looking, now 2 years later I LOVE SNAILS! I have so many of them. I have mystery, nerite, rabbit, Malaysian trumpet, bladder, rams horn, and assassins.

 

Snails are awesome. More people need to embrace them.

Yes!! Snails are wonderful! I started a tank for shrimp but Morty the Mystery Snail soon stole the show & my heart. I'm currently raising her offspring and slowly giving them away - each time I give away a group of babies, it actually bothers me. How will I guarantee they'll go to good homes who appreciate them? Gonna miss them when they're all grown and gone

I know the feeling, I’ve had to regime certain fish and it makes me sad cuz I won’t know if they are going to a good home.

 

I walked into my local fish shop and one of the guys there talked me into a mystery snail. I wasn't sure about it at first, but after a few days, I went back and got 2 more - one for each tank. I had to use one tank for a qt tank and so I put 1 snail into the other tank - within 30 seconds, those two were all over each other. I may have eggs soon.
