I could use some suggestions on how to completely redo some hard scape

I have a 46 bow front and I’m looking to completely redo my hard scape. The log I have sticking up in the middle is hollow and I really like it. Since it’s pointing upwards it catches a lot of debris and fish poop and is really tough to clean and a huge pain to take out and clean.

I’m thinking if laying it down on its side so fish can still use it as a cave and it won’t catch debris anymore. Other than that I’d love some suggestions. I’d move rocks around or get new ones altogether.

I’m thinking I need something like driftwood sticking up in the middle to break up the middle column since I’m used to it being that way, but if I don’t need to do this I won’t.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Well, I have a few ideas.

First, make the substrate slope forward, the back should be the highest. Then stick the driftwood at a 45 degree angle while having it flat so it juts out forward. Then you could surround that is some dwarf hairgrass.

edit Oh yeah and if you could get more substrate we can make more dimention to the substrate

Personally I don’t think I would change a thing it looks great how it is!
