I like keeping my tanks understocked. That said, the three schools of fish in my 75 gallon were pearl danios, neon tetras, and panda cories (and a centerpiece dwarf gourami).
I had 2 straggler rummynoses and a while cloud mountain minnow from old schools from a few years ago. I wasn't planning to restock them. One of the rummies died of old age a few weeks ago and I felt bad about how lonely the last one was.
Well, my LFS took in a school of rummynoses from someone in the military. I took home the entire school..... They were healthy and had been there a month so I didn't need to quarantine them.
I wish everyone could see how happy my single rummy was when I put the school in there. He instantly found the group and they haven't left eachother's side since I put them in a few days ago. The rummies and neons frequently school together, so I have one huge group of mixed color fish that roam the tank together.
They were a good purchase haha.
