I Caved, New Rummynoses

I like keeping my tanks understocked. That said, the three schools of fish in my 75 gallon were pearl danios, neon tetras, and panda cories (and a centerpiece dwarf gourami).

I had 2 straggler rummynoses and a while cloud mountain minnow from old schools from a few years ago. I wasn't planning to restock them. One of the rummies died of old age a few weeks ago and I felt bad about how lonely the last one was.

Well, my LFS took in a school of rummynoses from someone in the military. I took home the entire school..... They were healthy and had been there a month so I didn't need to quarantine them.

I wish everyone could see how happy my single rummy was when I put the school in there. He instantly found the group and they haven't left eachother's side since I put them in a few days ago. The rummies and neons frequently school together, so I have one huge group of mixed color fish that roam the tank together.

They were a good purchase haha.

That's a happy story for the lone Rummynose! Would love to see pictures of them all together.

I'll post a pic when I get home!

I'll try to get one of them all schooling together.

I was considering rehoming him. I just wonder if he'd be better off alone in my tank for another year (he's about 3 years old) until it's his time, or to take a guess that he MAY go to a better home. My tank is big, perfect water, and I take very good care of them. I just worry that if I rehome him, he'll become a feeder fish or someone will cram him alone again in a tiny tank that isn't cycled.

Hahaha sorry! We've been looking at houses all weekend as we're trying to buy somewhat soon.

I snapped a quick pic this morning after a partial water change. They were a bit spooked so the others are behind that reddish rock. I'll take another one in a 20 min when I get home
