I swapped out JD pairs and added my oscar at the same time two weeks ago.

Last night, they killed him. I thought he was big enough, but I guess I was wrong.

RIP Little Oscar. You were such a little cutie.

Thank you ladies

I'm going to get another one when the LFS has some, but I'm going to get bigger this time.

Thanks. I posted an ad on Craigslist to re-home the JD's. They were a Petsmart whim. I had a response, but I didn't feel it was a good environment.

We'll see if anyone comes along. If not, I'll try them with a larger oscar. If there are issues again, it'll be tank-swapping time.

I'm also trying to figure out if I can fit in another 55 gallon. Then I could give them a tank to themselves, get my oscar, and not re-home anyone.

Oh BB I'm sorry to hear about that
<HUGS>

As for tanks (lol) you should look into a system where you can stack 3 55's each on a sliding shelf. That way you wouldn't have to worry about clearance for maintenance work. Bolt the stand to the wall and make sure that the tank you slide out only comes out half way or so so that there isn't too much weight moving around (ROFL)
