@DoubleDutch @Flowingfins @aliray @Lucy @Platylover @Coradee Junne can you guys tell me what I should do to keep these eggs safe? image
Can I put them in my 10g? My 10 doesn't have any predators:). And how do I remove the eggs without killing them? Also how long will it take for them to hatch? And how do I know if they are fertilized?image

I'm sorry I can't help as mine laid eggs in a cave and I never even knew they were there until the little ones came out.

Congratulations and hope someone can help you :)

lol yea! :), but here's the problem. i need to get them out of the 60gal because its full of fry killers;). Should i acclimate them into the 10gal since that tank has no predators?doesn't it only take a day for the cory to hatch out of their sack? then they eat the egg yolk for a few days?:)

As long as the water parameters in the 10 gallon are the same or close to the spawning tank then no need to acclimatise the eggs

they are pretty close, but i don't want them to die in case its not close enough

As long as it's not vastly different they'll be fine

    You got it:)

Does it only take a day for the eggs to hatch?

5/6 days. They'll live 3 days on te eggsac then you've to feed.

Depending on temperature they should hatch in 3-5 days

  15. Sarah73Fishlore VIPMember

    78 is the temp

  16. CoradeeModeratorModerator Member

At that temp they'll probably hatch in around 3 days
