I Added An Oscar

I got a second oscar today and her name is Dolphin. I was planning on getting a girlfriend for my oscar for a long time now . I had to put her right in with my oscar without waiting because I didn't have an extra tank that was big enough to quarintine her. I put an egg crate divider in because my oscar is very aggresive. My oscar has been smashing into the divider A LOT. He also was shoveling sand with his mouth. How long should I leave the divider in.

I'd personally suggest leaving the divider in for a couple of weeks until they get used to each other's presence.

 

sometimes with cichlids it's better to raise them from young. Sometimes they'll get along and breed, others won't and it ends bad so just be aware that each fish will be different
