Hydra In All Of My Tanks?!?

Hello all, a few weeks ago I saw hydra in my cherry shrimp tank, I dosed with Panacur C and they seemed to be fine. But today, I noticed that all 3 of my tanks have hydra!!! My cichlid tank has it in the sump, and my 5 gallon has it in the filter. Only the RCS tank has plants, and all of my fish/shrimp came from different sources. So my question is, could there be hydra in my city's water supply, or could there be hydra in the pellets I feed to all three tanks (xtreme aquatics cichlid pellet.)

(10g cherry shrimp tank; 5 gallon desktop tank with a small electric blue crayfish; 55 gallon malawI cichlid tank with a 40 gallon sump)

Probably came from the water, but could also be from the food you are using.

ok thanks for the reply, any idea if there is there anything I can do to prevent them from coming in from my tap? I assume a ro/dI unit would eliminate them, but that would lower the ph too much for my cichlids, although I could use it in my RCS tank and remineralize the water.

That sounds really unlikely for it to be in the tap water. The city does filter tap water. The only thing that I can think of is maybe you shared equipment between tanks such as a scrubber or net. Or maybe you stuck your arm in one tank then immediately worked on another

I guess I could have shared water when doing water changes, water left on the hose I guess, oh well. I just dosed all three tanks with panacur C again, man that stuff is hard to dissolve lol. Thanks for the reply!
